Think You Can’t Makes Changes in Your Life?
The following story might help you think it is possible and never too late.
(It’s a long story, however, it is offered as a foundation to share the valuable insights and healing that can come with leveling up in any aspect of your life in upcoming posts.)
A FEW YEARS AGO:
- Weighed 315 lbs. Wore a size 4x.
- Had to be dropped off at store and had to shop in a motorized cart. Couldn’t walk more than a few feet.
- Had to have help up curbs or stairs.
- Couldn’t get up from the toilet without a handicapped bar.
- Had to take 8 to 10 meds to control blood pressure and diabetes.
- Frequent emotionally connected food binges.
- Struggled with relationships, felt mostly alone and rejected.
- Felt lot of self-loathing and lack of confidence.
- Mentally unfocused and unclear.
- I was spiritually lost and alone.
- Had many masks–didn’t have the courage to be authentic or speak my truth.
- Thought I was too old to make changes. My patterns of living must be hard-wired in my brain.
TODAY:
- 112 pounds lighter. Wear a size 18 and you haven’t seen anything yet.
- Exercise five times a week–weight lifting, stretching, rebounder, balance, and so much more. Have physical strength and flexibility.
- Core strenght allows me to do stairs, curbs, and get up and down from any toilet.
- Down from all the high blood pressure and diabetes meds to 1 and it’s almost gone as well.
- When I’m off all my meds, my doctor says, I can be then be re-diagnosed as non-diabetic.
- No more cravings or seeking comfort from food.
- Have a whole tribe of beautiful people in my life.
- Learned the meaning of love and how to express it for myself as well as others. Became self-compassionate.
- In ridding myself of past baggage, found peace and freedom and the ability to have razor sharp focus.
- This one of the best parts of my growth is having a relationship with my higher source, I call God. I’m no longer am alone.
- Best of all, my ability to be authentic and speak my truth has become an simple and beautiful way to live each day.
- At 76 years of age, the old habits and patterns have been replaced and life just can’t get any better—but it will.
