How to Let Go of the Things Holding You Back
When we’re stuck, we’re stuck. And most often, our minds are what’s doing the trick – holding us back from moving forward in our lives. The truth is that it can feel pretty profound when you notice your internal dialogue starting to take over and telling you to stop and hold on. Don’t worry…it’s okay.
We are all meant to be moving forward with our own happiness, fulfillment, and success at this very moment in time. We’ve just got to realize that we can do this by letting go of the things that seem to be holding us back from living the fulfilling life we deserve (and sometimes even take for granted).
Letting go can hard to do. It’s even harder to talk about and write about. But without it, we may never get to where we want to be or release the things that hold us back from a life we love so much.
One way to let go is to see our challenges or even our negative or limiting beliefs as opportunities to learn something very useful. Ask yourself the question, “What is it I need to understand to let this go?” Then patiently wait for an answer. It can come in an intuitive hit, something someone says, a sentence in a book, or a scene in a movie or television show. Practice listening because the answer will free you, one by one, of your past baggage.
