It’s the Small Things

Have you ever felt so strongly about something your passion just burst and exploded all over the place? Recently, I did. It’s exciting.

Fun in the Small Things

It turns out it was about the last blog I posted about starting a movement. The blog felt like a way to get my come alive message out into the world. Then a news report on a local TV station reported on someone in a nearby town was anonymously putting happy messages into baggies and pinning them to trees, telephone poles, and benches. They were numbered—like #52 of 400. Everyone was having wonderful fun finding them. It lifted the whole community in their fun.

The is when my passion burst and exploded all over the place. A movement of fun and all from the simple things we can do just opened my heart with excitement.

The Small Things Can Change the World

My “movement” started to unfold—I wanted to create a happier, kinder world by finding small things we can do together or individually and have fun.

Have you ever had someone give you a compliment on your outfit or your fur baby? Did it lift you up for a few minutes or even shifted your mood for the day?  Starting to zero in on ways you can do this yourself and as our “movement” could start to change the divisiveness and meanness we have been experiencing for the past years especially with the pandemic.

I’ve started to have ideas myself:

  • Paint a rock with a happy message and put it on a hiking trail.
  • Have a date night with your partner.
  • Mail an anonymous greeting card with a humorous message to a friend.
  • Do little messages put into baggies and pin on a public tree (like the news article)
